The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India to assess and accredit institutions of higher education. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to rank higher education institutions across the country. The framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions based on objective parameters such as Teaching, Learning & Resources, Research & Professional Practices, Graduation Outcomes, Outreach & Inclusivity, and Perception. Participating in NIRF rankings helps the institution benchmark its performance, identify areas for improvement, and enhance its reputation at the national and global level.
